I always believed that the reason why the world holds so many wanders was because we were meant to explore and marvel at their beauty . You dont need to travel far to discover these wonders . It just around us . The problem is on us . Dear friend , you will be surprised to know that we have quite a few of these in Malaysia . Allow me to share with you my travel adventure .
It was on Saturday . My friends and i embarked on the journey towards the Bukit Kledang , at quarter past nine in the morning . To say the least , i did not expect my hiking adventure to be as what i did . We arrived at the designated car park and began our " early morning walk " up the hill . During that time , the sun already above the horizon . We missed the chance to see the sunrise . But it is okay . There is always next time . There were many people trailing up and down the hill as expected ; it was a Saturday morning . Mostly they were elderly Chinese people . If you are tired , nothing to be worried of as along the way at the early stage , there are gazebos for you to rest as well as restroom .

The light swiftly rising from the mountains and reflecting its rays onto the lush greenery around us . It was chilly as we went further up the road . The green that swallowed us were humming the music of the forest . We could here the sounds of water and monkeys made an appearance from the tree top . Some stretches of the road were steep and we had to force ourselves through the uphill tasks . To reach the top is one thing , to encourage and support each other to reach it is another and i like the latter .

Not something to be done often - lying on the paved road , resting . |
The next stop of our cave - y day trip led us to a religious path ; a temple . There is something about caves that feels sacred , tranquil and paceful . The way in to Kek Look Kong Cave Temple passes through neighbourhood . The opening of the cave and the statue of the Goddess of Mercy welcomed us at the entrance . We walked inside the cave temple and walked ahead in where a Chinese style garden enthralled . There are fishes in the pond and in another blossoming lotus at its surface . We were there almost evening and could see people exercising . There is also a stone reflexology area .

For final stop , we decided to explore Tasik cermin . The mirror lake is well hidden inside the limestone caves and has a mysterious vibe . We made our way to the place using guidance and directions from Google Maps ( from Dee's phone ) and Waze ( from Fatin's phone ) . " You already arrived at your location " announced Waze but it pointed us to some roads which basically was a dead end . We almost gave up . But then i remember we passed through fruit stalls on the way in . We drove over there to ask for directions from local people .
Finally we were there . The sight that greeted us then caught us by surprise . We had to pass through a quarry in order to reach the mouth of the tunnel . We walked into the dark tunnel and could see that there is a light at the end of tunnel . When we came out of the tunnel , we saw the lake which is surrounded by the limestone caves . One word to describe . BEAUTIFUL .

| If there was more sunlight , it would had added a golden tint to the face of the lake |
The waters of the lake were still reflecting the limestones and trees around . Like an image in the mirror . A startling eureka moment came , when we realised how precious this beauty of the Mother Nature was . We kept to ourselves , immersing ourselves in this oasis .
Nevertheless, it was lot of fun . Had to admit it was exhausting but it paid for something . The bottom line is , we enjoyed ourselves .
